Wooden dolls

Got a bunch of interesting wooden dolls at Withington's last week, including these two vintage dolls which were souvenirs from the House of Seven Gables in Salem, MA.

I also got another interesting doll, don't know anything about her history but she had a paper tag on her wrist with her name "Adelaide."

1963

Today I was scanning the doll pages from the 1963 Sears Toy Book so I can list it on ebay. What a great year for dolls that was! Barbie, Tammy, Chatty Cathy, Tiny Tears, Raggedy Ann and Andy, Tressy, and on and on. Here's a little bit of the magic:
